Christian Education at St. Andrew has as its mission to empower and encourage members of all ages. Our goal is to bring the Word into each life in a meaningful way. This is facilitated through such programs as Parents as Christian Teachers, Nursery, Sonday Kids' Club, Adult Bible Study, ChristCare, and through the support of Lutheran Day Schools.
PARENTS AS CHRISTIAN TEACHERS identifies and supports parents as the first and most meaningful example of Christian Teacher’s newborns will experience.
NURSERY is provided for infants during all Sunday morning worship services, Sunday School, and mid-week Advent and Lent services.
SONDAY KIDS' CLUB are provided for ages 3 through adult. Sonday Kids' Club meets each Sunday from 9:15-10:15 a.m. for Kindergarten through fifth grade. Kids begin with small group warm-up; followed by our large group presentation, including singing and puppetry; and ends back in the small group for review and prayer. In addition to the Adult Bible Study Classes that meet on Sunday morning at 9:15, further Adult Bible Study is offered during the week. Lifelight classes meet to dig deeper into the Scriptures, one book for each semester.
CHRISTCARE is a small group ministry that is designed to spiritually nurture and fortify members.
Christian Education also supports the efforts of members who choose to send their children to one of the local Lutheran Day Schools.
Whether through the programs listed above, through Vacation Bible School, subscriptions to the Lutheran Quarterly newspaper “Family Talk”, or through other programs, the Board of Christian Education at St. Andrew seeks to empower and encourage members of all ages.
